Opening: The meeting was opened by the Area 41 Chair and had the Daily Reflections read.
Reports:
- Workshop Report: Presented by the Workshop Chair.
- Minutes: Read by the Agenda Secretary.
- Motion to approve the minutes from July 24, 2024. Motion seconded and approved.
Inventory Process Discussion:
The committee discussed the process for conducting the inventory, with plans to divide into six groups, each starting with an assigned question. Each group will have a self-designated facilitator, note taker, and presenter. Groups will submit notes via email to Cara.
- The full group discussion will allow a one-minute summary per person, with opportunities for multiple contributions.
- Trends identified in inventory items will be addressed with a report will be presented by April 2025 and a workshop in July 2025.
Agenda Item Discussion:
- Item 2024-10-12-015: Proposal to move DCM Reports to DCM Copy to focus on DCM issues with districts.
- The Chair presented research indicating that DCM Reports are not required, and there is no mandatory time limit for reading them.
- A discussion followed on whether reports should be read aloud, with consensus that the flexibility of placing reports on the itinerary should be preserved.
- Motion to terminate further consideration of this item was seconded and passed unanimously.
January 2025 Assembly Planning:
- Ideas were discussed, including: workshops, speakers, extended lunch & dinner breaks.
- Requests for workshops by committee chairs are being accepted.
Next Meeting: Zoom meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 6:30 p.m.
Closure:
- Motion to close the meeting was seconded and passed.
- The meeting closed with the Responsibility Statement.
