Archives Committee Report - October 2024

Hello Area 41!

Archives Committee meeting opened at 4pm with a moment of silence for the still suffering alcoholic, followed by the Serenity Prayer. 7 members were in attendance. Donna J was asked to read the Archives Report from the April 2024 Newsletter. We heard two members present their findings on the founder's that they chose to research. We spoke at length about why it was important to capture and preserve information for Archives. We discussed the progress and process of collecting oral histories from our Area 41 Longtimers. We went around the table and shared one pivotal moment from our personal early AA history to assist us in determining which questions we could be asking. Several ideas were brought up.

We discussed some information regarding the Archives Repository and are going to schedule and date/time where we can tour the facility as a group. *No agenda items in committee at this time. We closed at 4:59pm with the Lord's Prayer.
