District 21 Report - October 2024
District 21 Report, Lisa V., DCM
Greetings, Area 41,
We had our District 21 Unity Picnic on September 29. We had a good turnout, though somewhat smaller than in past years. In addition to hearing from our delegate, we heard from members of several groups from our district. There was a raffle, and lots of food. We have a dedicated group of GSR’s who regularly attend our monthly meetings, the third Sunday of every month at New Visions Church.
We considered hosting a workshop for Grapevine writing with another District, but tabled it for the time being. We have also been speaking with Districts 3 and 22 about a workshop on safety. We have also been discussing the possibility of hosting a workshop on sponsorship sometime this winter. There seems to be a lot of interest in and questions about this topic.
I have been visiting as many meetings as I can, and wish I could go to more. In September, I was one of three panelists for the Sunday Night Workshop speaking on workshops, and how they promote and enhance service. There was a pie theme, and there were tables full to choose from. Great subject, and I learned a lot.
